Groningen icons

"Groningen Icons" is a captivating lenticular artwork that brings the architectural essence of Groningen to life through dynamic visual narratives. As viewers walk past the artwork, iconic buildings of the historic Dutch city appear to shift, appear, and seamlessly merge into one another, creating a sense of movement and time.

The lenticular medium allows the artwork to present multiple images within a single frame, resulting in a layered display of Groningen's iconic buildings. Depending on the viewer's angle, landmarks such as the Groninger Museum, the DUO building, the Martini Tower, the Forum, the statue of Uncle Loeks's Horse (Peerd van ome Loeks), and the station facade appear and fade like moving reminders.
